FOOTBALL FUN

Today Ben From 'Football Kidz NZ' came to run a promotional day with the children at Royal Oak Primary School.  Room 3 got to go outside in the lovely sun this afternoon and learn some great soccer related games. Ben was so much fun and he had us all laughing and having a great time.

GRANDPARENTS DAY

Today Room 3 had some of our Grandparents visit! They came into the class and also checked out the amazing Art Exhibition. We made our grandparents some neat certificates and special poems. It was so nice to have our lovely Grandpa's, Nanna's, Poppa's, Grandma's, Granddads and Opa's visit us! Thanks for coming! :)

Readers from Royal Oak Intermediate

Today we had some wonderful visitors from Royal Oak Intermediate. The students work as part of an English as a second language group and in this group, have worked to create their own story books. They kindly brought these beautiful books into share with the children in the Junior School. The books were wonderful and our children really enjoyed listening to them! Thank you!

Reading Rocks Show

Today we had  Adrian from Reading Rocks! He was awesome and sooooo funny!

He talked to us all about how books can open doors and we can go anywhere, learn anything and be anyone   all through reading books. Reading is so valuable and it ROCKS!

Thursday: Teachers reading to classes
Friday: Book Character PARADE! :) (12-1pm)

Don't forget to start getting your book character costume ready for the parade on Friday! 

Worms Worms Worms!!!

Mrs McConnell has been teaching Room 3 all about worms and our school worm farm. We got to check out the worms up close! We put on gloves and handled the worms and used magnifying glasses to get a really good look! Then we learnt all about the life cycle of worms. We loved it! Thank you Mrs McConnell!

Guess who won Mama Bear at Junior Assembly??

Congratulations to...Room 3!!!

They were the chosen as the best class at Junior Assembly for this fortnight and got to bring Mama Bear back to their classroom! Yay!! Well done Room 3!

Frankfurters on Monday!

Don't forget to bring your $2.00 on Monday if you want a yummy frankfurter in a yummy american hotdog bun! They were delicious last time!

Our New Baby!

Today Room 3 got a new baby doll to look after in our Home Corner!

Mrs Bruce gave her to us and she looks just like a real baby! We were very excited to help Mrs Bruce get her out of the box and we are going to think of a name together.

We hope she doesn't cry too much!
